New Delhi, May 17, 2020

A total of 9755 cases have been reported so far in Delhi in which 422 cases are added on May 16. A total of 4202 people have recovered so far. Delhi has reported 148 deaths due to the infection, total active cases in the national capital stand at 5405. Around 276 people had recovered on May 16.

We have directed all the hospitals to submit the death summary records and we are compiling the records. We are hopeful that within two or three days every report will be compiled.

The Delhi government has also asked the police to act carefully on the issues related to the migrant labourers. The Delhi government is ensuring food, stay and travel of all the migrant labourers stranded in Delhi.

Right now the doubling rate of COVID-19 in Delhi is 11 days.

The containment zones in Delhi are not increasing but there are many new cases of the doctors, nurses, police and BSF jawans.

The Delhi government has sent the proposals to the central government for the lockdown 4.0. The Delhi government will follow the orders of the Central government on the matter of the lockdown.
