Today I visited the family of late Shri Om pal Singh. He was the principal of government boys senior secondary school Kalyanpuri. You all know that during the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown the Delhi government was running various hunger relief centres where Shri Singh was working. Unfortunately during the work, he got affected by Covid and then lost his life. Today I also visited the family of late Shri Raj kumar who was a security guard at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. He was a frontline worker and he got affected by Covid and lost his life.”

He said, “Today I met the families of these Covid Warriors and handed over cheques of Rs.1 crores each. The pain these families have faced is irreplaceable but I am hopeful that with this financial assistance these families will get some relief. Today I want to salute all the Covid warriors of Delhi. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have worked relentlessly for the citizens of Delhi. The Delhi government has already announced that we will provide Rs.1 crores to the families of COVID warriors who have lost their lives during COVID duty.”
